Product Description
PFA Tubing
PFA (commonly known as soluble PTFE). In terms of its properties, this polymer is similar to PTFE. The big difference is that the alkoxy substituents allow the polymer to be melt-processed. It has improved flow, creep resistance, and thermal stability close to or exceeding PTFE.
PFA, short for perfluoroalkoxy and best known for PTFE or Teflon®, as it is the nonstick coating on the cooking pan. Besides the application on food processing, PFA tube is also used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry for its low friction coefficient, temperature resistance, and chemical resistant characteristics. PFA is also extremely flexible and resistant to weathering. As a result, it is often made into tubing for fluid processing units, especially when a certain pressure/temperature level is involved
Features:
1. Good folding and cracking resistance
2. High mechanical strength, 1.6 times of PTFE or more
3. Outstanding high/low temperature resistance
4. Chemical stability, electrical insulation
5. Self-lubrication, non-sticky
6. Good UV stability
7. Flame retardant, Abrasion resistant
8. FDA compliant grades available
Typical Applications:
1. Chemical tank liners
2. Pump and valve parts
3. Semiconductor components
Specification:
PFA extruded tube: Dia3-25mm, Any length
Dia26-63mm, Length less than 4200mm
PFA molded tube: Dia50-300mm, Length100-200mm
